Recently, the BIM construction drawing of the Guangzhou Seventh Resource Thermal Power Plant Phase II Conghua project undertaken by WELLE Environmental Protection Group won the first prize of the design group in the 2021 "SMART BIM" intelligent construction BIM competition, opening a good situation for the Group to enter the three-dimensional design stage.

The traditional CAD technology is based on two-dimensional planar arrangement of equipment, pipes and Bridges, which is subject to subjective factors such as lack of spatial imagination and different experience levels of designers and builders. In the actual construction process, it is easy to have pipeline collision, unbeautiful layout and other problems, resulting in rework modification, material waste and so on.


With the rapid development of Internet, big data and BIM technology, the data foundation and technical conditions for three-dimensional description and expression of project construction drawings have been available. Taking BIM technology as the fulcrum and combining the data platform to promote the visualization, precision and high efficiency of the project construction process is a new idea for the development of environmental protection projects in the future.

In 2019, WELLE Environmental Protection Group undertook the Guangzhou Seventh Resource Thermal Power Plant Phase II Conghua project of Guangzhou Environmental Protection Investment Group Co., LTD. The design scale of the leachate treatment station of this project is 900 m³/d (including 720m³/d leachate and 180m³/d low-concentration production wastewater). The leachate treatment process adopts "pretreatment + anaerobic + external MBR (secondary A/O) +NF+RO", and the low-concentration wastewater is mixed with the leachate anaerobic effluent and then enters the subsequent biochemical treatment and membrane advanced treatment. NF concentrated liquid adopts two-stage material membrane treatment process, RO concentrated liquid adopts chemical dehardening + pipe softening film + high pressure film treatment process, and the treated effluent meets the open circulating cooling water supplementary water standard in the "Quality Standard of Industrial Water for Municipal Sewage Recycling and Utilization (GB/T19923-2005)" before reuse.

Taking this project as a starting point, the Group uses BIM technology for 3D construction drawing design, opening a new journey of transformation from 2D to 3D front-end design.

(1) Optimization of pipeline layout: BIM software comes with the performance of pipeline collision test. During the drawing process, the pipeline layout can be adjusted in time to ensure the rationality of pipeline layout, overcome the pipeline collision problem in two-dimensional design, and the pipeline layout can be optimized to a great extent.
